|The Operating Engineers Training Institute of Manitoba Inc. (OETIM) is a joint Labour/Management, non-profit organization, established in 1986, whose sole responsibility is to provide the upgrading and training of people in the crane and heavy equipment industry.|
OETIM offers the following courses: Heavy Equipment Operator, Crane & Hoisting Equipment Operator (level 1+2 Apprentice), Pipeline Equipment Operator, Forklift Operator, H2S Alive, Ground Distance, Construction Safety Training System, WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Pipeline Construction Safety Training Crane Awareness, First Aid/CPR and Basic Rigging.
OETIM Inc. is a registered private vocational school and is also recognized as a training facility with federal department of human resources of Canada, therefore can issue T2202A tax receipts for those individuals paying for courses of their own.
Operating Engineers Training Institute of Manitoba is a member of the Canadian Operating Engineers Joint Apprenticeship Training Counsel (C.O.E.J.A.T.C). This gives students the assurance that their training meets or exceeds the Provincial standards. In most instances, training provided in one jurisdiction of the Operating standards. In recognized by other jurisdictions, thereby providing mobility when economic or social changes fall upon an individual or the local economy.
